SafeManagers™ takes learners beyond the theory and into the everyday decisions that shape safety at work. Across eight practical modules, managers explore:

  • Their role and influence on safety
  • Legal responsibilities and accountability
  • Hazards and effective controls
  • Risk assessment and decision-making
  • Incident and near-miss investigation
  • Monitoring, learning and continual improvement
  • Human factors and safety culture
  • Leadership, communication and building trust

Throughout the course, learners work through realistic workplace situations, applying what they learn to the kinds of decisions, pressures and conversations managers face every day. The emphasis is on understanding what good management looks like in practice, not simply remembering rules.

SafeManagers™ is designed for managers, supervisors and team leaders across a wide range of industries. It’s particularly suited to people who have responsibility for others but aren’t health and safety specialists.
SafeManagers™ uses a practical, scenario-based assessment designed to test how delegates think and respond as managers.

Delegates are provided with information about an unfamiliar workplace situation and complete two tasks: analysing what is going wrong and why, and reflecting on how the course will influence their own management practice.

Rather than testing recall, the assessment asks delegates to spot hazards, understand risk, recognise system and human factors, and make credible recommendations for improvement.

This assessment is marked by the Training Partner’s trainer through the SafeManagers™ portal, using clear and consistent marking criteria.
No annual licence fees. No renewal fees. Just a simple cost per learner.

There’s a one-off £295 + VAT application fee, which includes your onboarding and everything you need to get set up as a SafeManagers™ Training Partner.

After that, you simply pay £30 + VAT per learner for each delegate you register.

Your learner fee includes:

  • A printed SafeManagers™ learner workbook
  • A digital certificate on successful completion
  • Access to the materials and systems needed to manage their course

There are no annual licence or renewal fees, so if you’re not delivering, you’re not paying.

Physical certificates can also be ordered for an additional fee.
